Capcom Play System I (CPS1)
The Capcom Play System 1 (CPS1) is an arcade platform developed by Capcom in 1988 and based on powerful 16- bit technology. It became particularly well known for iconic games such as Street Fighter II, Final Fight and Ghouls 'n Ghosts, which shaped the arcade scene of the late 80s and early 90s. The CPS1 hardware allowed for more detailed graphics and smoother animations, making it one of the most influential arcade platforms of the time. Capcom used it to establish numerous successful game series.
